Carbon tool steel T10
T10 carbon tool steel, strength and high wear resistance than T8 and T9, but the hot hardness is low, not high hardenability and hardening deformation, grain fine, easy to overheat when heated in the hardening, can maintain fine-grained organization; quenched steel in excess of undissolved carbides, so high abrasion resistance, for the manufacture of a sharp knife and a little toughness tool. Less suitable for the manufacture of cutting conditions, higher wear resistance and is not a sudden and severe shock and vibration and requires a certain toughness and a variety of tools with sharp cutting edges, can be used as wear-resistant parts not subject to large shocks .

Features: T10 is the most common form of carbon tool steel, toughness, moderate, low production costs, the hardness after heat treatment can achieve 60HRC or more, but the low hardenability of this steel, and poor heat resistance (250 ℃), in quenching is not easy to overheat, remains fine-grained. Acceptable toughness, strength and wear resistance higher than T7-T9, but the hot hardness is low, is still not high hardenability, quenching deformation.
Scope: This steel used widely, less suitable for the manufacture of cutting conditions, higher wear resistance and is not a sudden and severe shock and vibration and requires a certain toughness and has a sharp edge of a variety of tools, such as turning , planer, drill, tap, reaming tools, screw die, mill hand saw blade, you can also make cold heading die, dies, drawing dies, cold extrusion die with aluminum, paper cutting mold, plastic mold , the small size of the cold trimming die and punching die, while the shape of a simple low-precision measuring tools (such as card board, etc.), can also be used without a large impact on the wear-resistant parts. ● Delivery status: the status of delivery of steel to annealing. By mutual agreement, may not annealed state delivery.

Chemical composition: Carbon C: 0.95 ~ 1.04 Si Si: ≤ 0.35
Manganese Mn: ≤ 0.40
Sulfur S: ≤ 0.020
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.030
Chromium Cr: allow the residual content of ≤ 0.25, ≤ 0.10 (when manufacturing lead bath quench wire)
Ni: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.20, ≤ 0.12 (when manufacturing lead bath quench wire)
Copper Cu: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.30, ≤ 0.20 (when manufacturing lead bath quench wire)
Note: The allows the residual content of Cr + Ni + Cu ≤ 0.40 (when manufacturing lead bath quench wire)
Mechanical properties of hardness: annealing, ≤ 197HB, indentation diameter ≥ 4.30mm; quenching, ≥ 62HRC heat treatment specifications: sample quenching 760 ~ 780 ℃, water-cooled
