15 is a low-carbon steel material, its ductility, plasticity is relatively good, due to its low carbon content (0.12-0.16% in between) So, the hardness is relatively low. In addition, the 15 low-carbon steel, the parts made of such material during the heat treatment to improve its hardness is more difficult. Needs to be heated to above 1100 ℃, the average barium salt bath furnace can not be processed, need to use high-temperature furnace to heat the nitrate bath.
Feature
15 steel the ductility, toughness is high, but the strength, low hardness, forging, welding and cold forming properties of a good, cold plastic deformation is high, but not easy to get smooth cutting surface. Discontinuity for the manufacture of large parts requiring high toughness and carburizing parts, fasteners and die forgings and non-heat-treated low-load parts.
Use
15 steel use: production carburizing parts, fasteners, and the Forging module without heat treatment of low-load parts, such as bolts, screws, pull the bar, with a flange and chemical storage, steam boilers, etc.
