SK3 - Spring steel - Shanghai Zhilian steel trade

SK3, carbon content of 0.6% of high-carbon steel, SK3 steel has the advantage of excellent wear resistance, good processability, the source is easy, but the quenching hardenability of low deformation. Because of SK3 steel alloy containing less elements, tempering resistance is low, shallow hardened layer, and thus lower its carrying capacity.

Use
Stamping dies, jigs, tools, rules, box cutters, auxiliary tools, etc.

Feature
Carbon tool steel is usually easy to improve the nature of fragmentation, and to extend tool life. Vacuum degassing refined steel, quality and stability.

Good hardenability, cold oil hardened (quenching crack and deformation less) toughness and good wear resistance, tool durability.

Heat treatment
Hardening: 500 ~ 550 810 ~ 830

Tempering: 180 ~ 200

Annealed state, ≤ 207HB, indentation diameter ≥ 4.20mm; quenching, ≥ 62HRC
