● Features and application:
Cold work tool steel, carbon tool steel is a better than the overall mechanical properties of low-alloy tool. With high hardness and wear resistance, hardenability is also good, quenching deformation. Suitable for the production of small cold-working die, especially for production of the various requirements of small deformation, wear high-precision measuring tools (such as templates, block gauge, gauge, etc.) as well as precision screw machine, grinding machine spindles.
● Chemical Composition:
Carbon C: 0.85 ~ 0.95
Si Si: ≤ 0.40
Manganese Mn: 1.70 ~ 2.00
Sulfur S: ≤ 0.030
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.030
Ni: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.25
Copper Cu: to allow the residual content of ≤ 0.30
Vanadium V: 0.10 ~ 0.25
● Mechanical Properties:
Hardness: Annealed, ≤ 229HB, indentation diameter ≥ 4.0mm; quenching, ≥ 62HRC
● Heat treatment and microstructure specifications:
Standard heat treatment: quenching, 780 ~ 810 ℃ oil cooling.
● Delivery status: the status of delivery of steel to annealing.
