718 and P20 mold steel uses the same type of mold steel, but better hardenability, better performance, you can create a large size, high-grade plastic mold forming parts.

 

718 purposes:

For large long-life plastic injection mold, such as home appliances, computer housings and other molds. High surface finish of the blow mold plastic mold as high hardness, can be used to slide the plastic mold in the molding tool; production needs can be applied as flame hardening or nitriding of the mold parts. Steel Type: Pre-hardened plastic mold steel, specialty steel: polishing, galvanic corrosion, welding and machining of good factory state: After hardening and tempering to HB290-330

● pure steel vacuum degassing refining process for polishing or etch processing requirements of the plastic mold.
● Pre-hard state supply without heat treatment can be used directly in the mold, shorten the construction period.
● by forging rolling processing, compact structure, 100% ultrasonic inspection, non-porous, needle defects.

 

718 Chemical composition:



Physical properties of the steel mold 718 are shown in Table 4-4-2 to Table 4-2-4, the density of 7.81t / m³; elastic modulus (room temperature) E is 212000MPa; shear modulus (room temperature) G is 825000 MPa; Poisson's ratio μ is 0.288.
