Cr12Mo1V1 mold steel D2 is fully consistent with the chemical composition. After years of proven, Cr12Mo1V1 mold steel is superior to Cr12MoV mold steel. As the steel containing Mo, V steel than Cr12MoV high, and contains Co, to improve the organization of steel, its strength and toughness, wear resistance were all improved.
Russia, the former Soviet Union X12M into X12Φ, but with Mo, V volume is still low, only equivalent to China's Cr12MoV die steel.
Cr12Mo1V1 die steel and Cr12MoV the same purpose. Mold parts for the more demanding.

Heat Treatment:
Cr12Mo1V1 (D2) mold steel heat treatment process
To stress annealing
After rough machining the workpiece, heated to 600 ~ 650 ℃, heat 2h, with the furnace cooled to 500 ℃, baked air-cooled.
Quench
Workpiece slowly warming up to 600 ℃, heat 20min warm-up for the first time, after the average temperature rose to 850 ℃, for 30min and then a second warm-up, and finally heated to 1020 ~ 1040 ℃, heat 25 ~ 40min, cooled baked.
Tempering
Temper immediately after quenching and tempering at least twice a holding time of not less than 2h
Note: The tempering time after quenching to prevent cracking and to prevent surface decarburization, gauges and precision molds should be carried out cryogenic treatment (-70 ℃), and high temperature tempering, reducing workpiece deformation, high-temperature tempering temperature of 500 ~ 560 ℃, hardness greater than 58HRC.
