[Main features] is basically the same performance and 35SiMn steel, but its strength, wear resistance and hardenability were slightly higher, the hardenability of steel in the water critical diameter of 27.5 ~ 50mm; critical in oil quenching diameter 13 ~ 30mm. The steel under certain conditions, strength, wear resistance and thermal processing are better than 40Cr steel, deformation resistance and the oxide formation is similar to 40Cr steel.
[Application Example] This steel is mainly used for surface hardening of steel. In the high-frequency quenching and tempering temperature conditions for the manufacture of medium speed and medium load of gear parts; quenched after the high-frequency quenching, tempering state, requirements for the manufacture of high surface hardness, high wear resistance larger cross-section parts, such as spindle, shaft, gear and so on. Can also be low after quenching, tempering temperature conditions for the production of medium-speed, high load of parts such as gears, shaft, pump rotors, sliders and so on. This steel also can replace 40CrNi steel. Delivery status: to heat treatment (normalizing, annealing, or tempering) or heat treatment delivery, delivery status should be indicated in the contract.
